ByeFeed blocks the apps and websites that eat your day, and switches off Shorts, Reels and other endless feeds while the rest of the app keeps working. It all runs on your phone, in real time, and keeps running after a restart.
The problem
Short-form video and infinite scroll are designed so there is always one more thing to watch. You open an app to answer one message, and the feed is waiting on the way in. Willpower is a poor match for that, so ByeFeed puts a rule you chose between you and the feed, and holds it for you.
A feed has no bottom, so there is never a natural moment to stop.
Messages, groups and search live inside the same apps as the feeds.
Uninstalling costs you the useful parts too. ByeFeed lets you keep them.
What it does
Set your rules once. ByeFeed enforces them the moment something matches, without asking you again.
Pick the apps that take your day. Open one during a block and the block screen is already there.
Block whole sites or any keyword in Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Opera, DuckDuckGo, Vivaldi and Kiwi, and optionally inside other apps’ built-in browsers. Blocked pages send you to a search engine you choose.
Switch off Shorts, Reels, Spotlight and more across nine apps, while messages and the rest of each app keep working.
Put apps, sites, keywords and feeds in a named group. Block it outright in Strict mode, or allow a set number of timed sessions, on the days and hours you pick.
Countdowns on the block screen, a pause you can limit or switch off, a PIN on your settings, and optional Prevent Uninstall. A weak moment takes more than one tap.

Short-form feeds
Most of the pull comes from one part of an app you have good reasons to keep. ByeFeed switches off that part and leaves the rest working. Nine apps are covered, each with its own switch.

Prices are set per country, and are lower in many of them. Google Play charges you in the currency it uses for your country and handles any tax, and it shows the final price before you confirm. The monthly and yearly figures here are estimates converted from our base prices and can differ slightly from Google Play’s; lifetime prices are Google Play’s own. Cancel any time in the Play Store and Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. You don’t need an account to subscribe. If a subscription ends, nothing you set up is deleted: your oldest group keeps running and the others pause until you subscribe again.

Not at the moment. ByeFeed is Android only (Android 7.0 or later), and there is no App Store version.
No. Choose Continue without an account during setup and every blocking feature still works. Nothing is created on our servers and your setup stays on your phone. An account only adds cloud backup and sync across devices.
It watches only for the triggers you set: a blocked app opening, a blocked site or keyword in your browser, or a short-form feed you switched off. Everything else is ignored, and the check happens on your phone without storing anything. Exactly how it works.
In the app, open Settings, tap your account under Account, then Delete account. It takes effect immediately and removes your cloud backup. The Delete Account page covers every case, including what to do if you can’t open the app.
